SESSION 19: Rheology and Modeling of Complex Materials and Composites


Symposium Polymer derived ceramics

The engineering decisions, constructions and technology processes very often require materials with particular properties, which are capable to work in unusual mechanical, physical, chemical, thermal or biological environments. Generally the hetero-modulus, hetero-viscous and hetero-plastic complex materials and composites made from different sort of metals, alloys, ceramics, glasses, polymers, have better ability than others to absorb and dissipate the elastic and kinetic energy during extreme mechanical and physical environments like high speed collisions or shock waves.. Thanking to ceramic particles these material compositions have increased hardness and wear resistance and thanking to metallic containments most of the cases the they have much higher thermal conductivities and better thermal shock resistances, than traditional materials or composites. The applications of the hetero-modulus and hetero-viscous complex materials and composites are encountered in sectors like aerospace, defense, energy, saves, space, automobile and marine industries.

Session RMCMC provides a platform among leading international scientists and researchers both of rheology and materials sciences including physicists, chemists, mechanics, mathematicians, engineers, and PhD students for discussion and simulation of the recent achievements in rheology and materials modeling.
