SESSION 11: Rheology of Emulsions, Suspensions, Colloids and Foams (RESCF)


Symposium Polymer derived ceramics

The mixing and shaping processes of emulsions, suspensions, foams and colloids usually take place in a liquid phase stage with different values and characteristics of viscosity. The present session RESCF is related to the use of rheology to investigate particles interactions with the scope of understanding, optimizing formulation, dispersion and stability of emulsions, suspensions and foams regarding to the further processing of materials and development of original process. The rheological investigations of emulsions, suspensions, colloids and/or foams help to researchers and engineers to apply and develop new materials compositions and processing technology. This session is covering both the rheological modeling and rheological methods used for measuring and evaluation of emulsion, suspension, colloids and foam flow and deformation behaviors. The emulsions, suspensions, colloids and foams which can change significantly their rheological behaviors and properties under external stimuli are also in scope of this session.

Session RESCF provides a platform among scientists and researchers both of rheology and materials science including physicists, chemists, biologists, mechanics, mathematicians, engineers, students and PhD students for discussion and simulation of the recent trends and achievements in rheology and in materials science.
